I have to wonder how people have the time to find these sort of quizzes. (Jamie)
And yes I did waste time doing the test
My score placed me exactly on Nelson Mandela which I thought was great but even better it indicated I was at the complete opposite spectrum to George Bush!
A person I've always considered to be the most stupid and dangerous leader of the modern era.
Seems most of the forum members are in the SW quadrant so I think your poll Nocky is full of the proverbial :bootyshake: , bit like asking Bob Brown how he is going to vote!!!

Not really sure where I will be voting but did come across the http://senatoronline.org.au/

Considering this one looks like it might be close wouldn't it be a novel idea that if they got just enough to be the swinging party we could actually have our say on what gets through and what gets thrown out.

Seem to be a lot of guys (and girls ) who have been involved in politics as students before going on to business.
Why don't they tell us what kind of politics and with what organisation??????

I smell ex Young Liberals

Its a good concept but I would imagine it can easily be exploited. When you don't have a mission statement or a policy direction you are just another organisation giving voice to the aspiration, xenophobic bogans addicted to middle class welfare,by stealth (they are already over represented)

Think tanks and pressure groups already manipulate and distort the system, this seems like just another one.

Yeah... scary.... perhaps the "couldn't care less" and primary "green" voters might reconsider their position...

Having a "green" senate is one thing... and I'd love to see a "green" in the House of Reps....

But even having a "green" in the House of Reps... is a useless proposition of we end up with a "rabid abbott" government

Seriously.... cuts to health and education, no action on climate change, no renewal energy investments, no infrastructure investments, altered industrial laws, smaller surplus (unless he reneges on throwing out the mining tax).... re-introduction of temporary visas and imprisonment of refugee women and children...

Along with selling the only asset left unsold from the "Howard era" ... Medibank....

That's is Abbott's vision... as laid out so far....

Along with the inevitable interest rate rises, which he has no control over... possible economic slump and corresponding rising un-employment.... higher taxs, rising energy and food costs, wage freezes....

Why would anyone even contemplate voting Liberal..... other for old "ideals"....

Jezz... it's going to be bad enough with "Labour" in government over the next three years.....

You should live in my electorate. Maybe I don't get out much but I've hardly seen a poster and couldn't tell you the names of any of the 4 candidates apart from the the incumbent. Family First have their senate man on their poster and have even said they are not even trying. It's a shame because our MP is such a weak politician but there has never been a strong contest. All of this after one of the most robust state election battles where any of four candidates (and I'm not including the Labor guy which might be a little unfair) seemed like they would make good MPs, whether or not I agreed with their politics.

Our Premier Colin Barnet in my opinion is an utter pratt  I just checked his web site....

Keeping the State Moving

There was an issue at Pluto Gas Feild Accomadation facility last year. The workers where annoyed there was no where for them to just store there belongings on there weeks off. I got it. The whole Pilbara got it. A simple storage facility , lockers even for the workers to store there possessions ...big deal.

The Gas plant wouldn't come to the party and they are making billions, wouldn't do the simplest thing that made total scence in keeping the workers happy.

Colin Barnet in Perth jumping up and down, when they all stood down from work until the problem was sorted. Carrying on how much money they made, and ungreatful and all the rest of his crap.

He had a right hissy fit on the News station. Stuff him. People make sacrafices to do 2 weeks one one week off. It sounds great, but if you have a younge family, ill elderly parents, and even not used to living isolated, FIFO is not always an easy thing to do...

He is a prick and I would love to vote him out :D
