Hydroponic Lemon tree started from a seed I found already germinated inside a lemon I bought like about a year ago.

Hey snags, just wondering if you have found the backyard farming forum yet? You would fit right in with an inventory like that :)

thats a pretty good list Snag, i'd love to have the space, but perhaps your idea of a small block is a little different to most peoples? how much room have your set aside for this orchard?

I forgot about 10x pineapples and a Lisbon Lemon.

Seriously not even a quarter acre
I will get around to posting shots soon
Most of the trees have been in for upto 10 years some only a few years all are small or stunted, due to the rocky soil. This doesn't bother me as I expect them to be Bonsai and I can fit more in.
I have lived here for 2 years but planted the trees and had computerised watering drip system working of the water tank while I wasn't here
Still had a few good crops from the limes, mandarins, lemons, cherrys, peach, guavas, pineapples and passionfruits.
I would imagine if they got to full size which I doubt I would have more fruit than I could handle.
I am ready with the secateurs and have had plenty of practice.
I prune my mates orchard over 1000 trees and had a mini orchard of espalier fruit trees, in my last house in Melbourne, over 16 trees in a smallish inner city backyard.

i've got apricot, plum, apple, peach and nectarine in the front yard.
funny thing is there's no fence at all but no fruit ever goes missing because i keep the tree's small and bushy, and no one seems to know what they are. nothing like hiding out in the open.
the apricot especially was loaded up last season.

in the backyard i've got a grape vine, lemon, lime, kumquat, orange, blood orange, mandirin and olive along with oregano ground cover, rosemary and thyme borders and now some artichokes.

in pots i've got blueberries which have done the best out of everything, as well as lots of herbs and an avocado tree.

i could go a lot more tree's but i still wanted some grass for the pup to play on and some paved area.

i think you can make a really productive landscape, but the trick to making it worth while is to avoid buying anything from a garden store. cheaper just to buy from the shops if you go that path. bulk sheep manure is the best material i've found to make a garden out of, cheap and plants love it.
