Charlies is still here, operating out of the same premises, but it wont be the same as you remember it... when I arrived in Cairns in 2002, it was the first place I was taken to because I love sea food... I went back about 18 months later and the service was shoddy, the menue reduced in veriety and it was over packed too

Remeber the place well, I found it mildly disturbing, hard to finish my meal, kept glancing at the mirror! .

They have one the same in Darwin Harbour precint...

sorry, guys, back to topic, away from bagging Cairns and Townsville, and now Darwin it seems (never been there, can't comment - I love BOTH Cairns and Townsville)

It's a cloudy, possible drizzly day here, so I'm going to spend my time plumbing up the marvellous pump that Murray sent me, and connect it to some grow beds.

Because its the Silly Season , Saturday is a wipe-out, and possibly Sunday morning too, but we really need to get the greenhouse roof on. This can only really happen in the morning when there is little or no wind. I can't place and install any more grow beds until the plastic film is up. Alex leaves for work at 7am, so unless I can convince him to start tomorrow morning at 5am...

(There you go Mr Cook, some real information!) (don't worry everyone else, he'll understand!)

I just put up the frames to hold the strawberry towers, pipe joining is happening slowly, need to let the silicone dry in between sections.

I am interested in how your towers go. How are you putting the holes in the side of the pipe? I have been thinking of trying some towers next to my other growbeds. I have to many fish and not enough growbeds. This will change soon as we will be having a fish fry, but still need more plant areas.
