I don't understand why you would drive an hour and a half to get fittings. Google shows three Home Depots near Mississuaga. Surely the prices cannot be higher then the gas and time you spend running state side.

Unfortunately Home Depots in the area do not have PVC fittings greater than 1" here. Trust me, I've made the rounds.

As DJT and Simo suggest build yourself an Affnan siphon while I didn't experienced problems with the Bell siphons I have recently swapped them for Affnans and they are starting to siphon with approx half the amount of water.

Is there a design somewhere? I've searched the site and found a lot of people talking about using the siphon but, nothing on how to make or how it works. Do you not need the covering sleve like the regular bell siphon.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

By the way... I didn't mean to come off so harshly DéjàVoodoo - problems of communicating through posts. To give you an example of the variety of stock, I couldn't even find a 1.5" elbow or a 2" Cap. :dontknow:

Thanks,

Have you tried the grey PVC in the electrical department?

I sure have. I've also checked the ABS and even the sprinkler fittings.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to call around and see if I can source the 2-1.5" reducer.
