Just been out and checked, perlite needed another tune up, no sign of plants yet, nealy all letuce eaten by freinds and family, just replanted, cucumders are 150mm long and looking great, tomies are looking nealy as good as the hydro ones.fixed the white fly and aphid problem with home made garlic spray no efect on redies so far. ps i did not know that redies would eat duck weed and aquatic plants. they have cleened up nealy all the duck weed.

The reason i ask about the pump is because i am wondering if the last growbed is getting enough nutrients as the first one.

You would need a pretty powerful pump to circulate nuts in that setup

And where is the drain pipe?
