I'm looking for some trout/barra pellets as I'm about to run out.
Does anyone either have too many and want to offload some (ie you brought a large supply and now realise you have too much) or are you looking to buy some and would consider sharing a 20kg bag. I'm looking for 3 to 5 mm floating barra/trout pellets. I've only got about a 1 week supply left so I need to move fast.
Does anyone know if West Beach Hatcheries still sell them, or if anyone else does?
Thanks,
David

Hi KE,

Sorry I couldn't help out, but as you know I got those pellets from West beach Hatcheries. The best way to find out wether they still sell the pellets is to call them.
When I got mine I did have the option of buying by the kilo, so you may not need to buy a whole bag. From memory it was cash only, they don't have Credit card or Eftpos access.

Their details are: W.B.A. Hatcheries‎ Hamra Ave, West Beach SA 5024 (08) 8235 0489‎

WBA has just told me he will only sell by the bag full.
20kg for $60
I need at least 1 other person (preferrably 2 people) to commit to sharing a bag, and I need to do this asap.
Anyone interested?

I've been chasing pellets for more than a week. I'm using cat food at the moment. I've settled on Laucke barra pellets (30kg for $70) but my fodder bloke is still waiting for them. I'd help you out with half the bag if I could get to them in the next few months (you say Adelaide but you are well on the south side, yes?). I expect my Laucke bag soon so I'm not in a real hurry, but there seems to be a few question marks over their product and I'd like to see what the options are if you're still happy to share.

If this is going to be a recurring problem, you might have to enlarge your system (double?) so as to make food purchases more economical :thumbleft:
That's what I'm thinking. (picks up phone "Yeah Stinger, can I get another tonne of fish pellets thanks? I've only got a few bags left" :geek: )

My wife is heading to Berri next weekend. You can have them on Saturday or Sunday if you want them. 10 kilos each, $30. Send me a PM with your details. She can either drop them off in Glossop on the way through around lunch time on Sat, or you can pick them up from her in Berri Sat arvo or Sunday.

Picked up a bag of Growbest today. He told me they are meant to be 3mm but they are more like 2mm. My fish still like them even though they are half the size of what they are currently eating.
I have taken out 10kg for Dex, but I am still happy to take out a few more kilos if anyone needs some.
