G'Day Gang,

C1 do you have any extra aeration in your system apart from the waterfall?

Cheers
Dennis

Curnow - Not my system :support:
However, The only airation is for emergency as I see it.
Like on a hot day after a series of hot days.
There is bucket loads of DO in that system.

My system... somewhat more modest :laughing3: has no added air.
But is constant flood same as Eagles (This system)

I just go back to dreaming of the system I DO have planned but haven't yet completed

Hi Dennis,
As Creative1 has said I have a air pump set up that provides air to 3 ponds + a gold fish pond.
I set it up because I was getting fingerlings in Feb just to make sure if the temp got to 23c + it never did however Idid run it at night a few times. The water fall seems to be working ok.
The pump to the water fall delivers 6000 lt Hr I can increase that if I want to as i have 2 pumps in the sump, the flow is continuous
Cheers Eagle

The next person who builds an outdoor oven should start a new thread.
Until then:

If it was hard to visualize a goat jumping on my oven, this lamb should make that a little clearer. The ground behind it is about the same height as the hearth.

I like to let the sheep "free range" in the afternoon, saves me from having to do much mowing. They don't normally get into trouble and when it gets too hot they lay under the deck with the dogs!

One day I'm going to build a system just like yours and then sit on the patio and fish for dinner on long summer evenings. Mind blowing work putting it together and getting it to grow you guys, really great stuff. The system deserves to be a poster child for AP and those trout are definately worth entering into the size matters contest.

Happy growing you guys, keep the pics coming :notworthy:
