When the newspapers refer to terrorists using farm fertilizer as explosives they mean Prilled Ammonium Nitrate, which, when mixed with diesel in a certain ratio, makes a potent explosive. I used to use it for blowing unwanted Redgums out of the ground. The last tree for the day was usually a beauty because we'd use up all the Nitropril we had left (it doesn't store too well ) and that would often be 2 or 3 times the normal requirement. Tree in orbit !!

and so BYAP became a place to learn about DIY bombs (again!)

I thought we might be doing McGuyver-style explosions. Fun Fun Fun!!!

Oh, ANFO that what i know it as Ammonium nitrate fuel oil.

I think that ammonium nitrate is now (supposed tobe) tightly regulated.....qld's fist bloke to be charged uinder terror laws was busted with 53kgs in his house (i think it was ammonium nitrate) Just read an article that he's been allowed to use a computer for two hours per day from his cell to prepare for his case..................Big mick, you want to tell us something?
