I had allready salted to 1PPM about 3 days ago I wasent sure about feeding them or not they are very hungry as I get close to the tank they start jumping

Welcome to the madness of the first system.

Is your salt 1ppm or 1ppt? Big difference....

I would keep going as you are, feeding lightly. If your 'ites reached 2.0 and are now down to 1.0 then things are going just fine.

Ah, good! Far better to say it wrong than do it wrong. The first time I did it I shifted a decimal and almost added 30kilos of salt to my greenhouse AP rather than 3kilos. Fortunately, a friend questioned my calculations....

I have a question what should be the ph to try to mantain the system at
mine started to go down its about 6.8 from 7.6 in about 4 days

my lastwater readings
ph 7.6 Ammonia .25 Nitrite .25 nitrate betwen 5. and 10
should I do any thing Im not feeding as much
Im going to introduce a bio filter as I cant put any more beds at the moment

The tank is a 2nd its 3000L when full to the top diameter 1500 mm I only filled it up to about 1400 high its burried in the ground app 900mm it cost me $100.00
the top 700 mm of the tank are fairly thin on the wall but for my purpose it was ok
After I picked up that one he had others but the price was about $300.00

My trout are doing very well I still have about 20 and tey are over 500G
