If its only 10% garlic and 90% deionized water why couldn`t you make it yourself :D I`m sure it couldn`t be that hard.

Hi Gnash06,
here's a link to a recipe for home made garlic and chilli spray from Gardening Aust.

http://www.abc.net.au/gardening/stories/s241170.htm
it has soap flakes in it, and i remember reading somewhere that the soap helps the spray stick to plants (it probably smothers things too), I'd leave the soap flakes out and just brew up the rest of the ingreds, strain and store in dark place and maybe use it a little more often

The interesting thing is that flour will stop the chewwing bugs/caterpillers
I wonder if it has to be ORGANIC flour

My query would be the soap flakes mixing with the fish water and being detrimental to fish health, but you could leave that part out of the brew

i doubt it *has* to be, unless you are certified organic yourself in which case it would effect your certification...

Perhaps I would have had better success if I had put soap in - but I was avoiding man made products in my garden - perhaps the soap thing would have helped :?

It looks like a leafminer. Adult flies lay eggs on the leaf, the larva hatch and start tunneling. Inspect undersides of the leaves for egg masses and squish. Remove damaged leaves and squish or otherwise destroy the larva. Crops can be protected by placing fine netting like cheese cloth or a floating cover like Remay over them to keep adults from laying their eggs. Generally damage is only aesthetic and shouldn't kill the plant.
