Just watched Better Homes and Gardens and there was no mention of this display garden with an aquaponic system which also won a gold award "Food for Tought" was an entry by Mitre 10. The pond is home to Silver Perch and the galvanised bed (filled withe media donated by Dean of Growfresh Aquaponics) supended over the pond. The deck was made using tomato stakes to make the boardwalk and the fence in the rear was made using empty wine bottles.

The bottle wall took 3 people 2 1/2 days to put together, I can't imagine how long to drink all the wine, but I bet they had a good time of it.

This is the Flemings student designed garden competition won by Alicia Ferrer of Perth, a student from Challenger TAFE and a former student of mine. Alicia was announced the overall winner out of 8 finalists from all over Australia.

You know I like a challenge, but I think it would be counter productive to get ready for the show as well as drink that much in the given time period.
"I am woman" and I can do two things at once but I'd need "A little help from my friends". hehe

People might start to get the wrong idea about my drinking habits the way you mob are talking, my professional image could be tarnished. :)

Well it is that time again and I am looking for the top 10 things to see and do in Melbourne, after last year I have a few ideas but would love any other suggestions. Please feel free to join in.
So far we have the Grand Prix-(1 Day) to see what people rave about.
The Flower and Garden show on the Garden Advisory service 12-30-2.45 Wed 4th March (come and say hi)
The Autumnal BYAP get together :wave1: Visit Embis AP system and take photos
Bulleen Art and Garden centre
The Comedy festival
Lentil as Anything or is it the Mental Lentil- family dinner
Victoria markets
Casino and their three tiered seafood tower mmmm- another family dinner
We are staying at Southbank, love that area- sooo much atmosphere.

All suggestion greatly appreciated.
Faye

You have to go to Draculas, Faye. It is a great night out. Dinner and entertainment included. The comedy is great and fun atmosphere. You should book before you go cos it is very popular!

You have to visit St Kilda , Acland st it has a range of coffee and cake shops that will blow your mind
Also while you are there check out lunar park it has a heritage listed wooden roller coaster
Also while you are there don't stand on the corner waiting for Eddie you may get an indecent proposal
We often take the train from here then the tram to st kilda for coffee

There's also a Fairy Penguin colony in St Kilda, you can see them coming home at night (somebody check it's the right time of year if that matters?)
