Seems people are starting to talk Trout already so thought I had better put this post up.
This year with easter at the beginning of April I plan to start Trout deliveries to Perth on Wed 7th providing that there are no late hot spells. If the demand is there I will be doing at least once a week deliveries from that date onwards.
Average size of the fish this year is down a bit on last year due to above average temperatures this summer/autumn.
Am taking orders as of now so if you have a particular week you want your fish I suggest you get your booking in.

Gav I think you may still be in summer season, not much change on the horizon until end of April early May, my weather sources are saying a season break/change about 15th may I hope they are wrong

Bullsh!t. There will be days of 30 degrees + still, but overnight temps are droping rapidly.

Not here OBO, overnight has gone up, last 3 over 20, water is hotter now than has been for nearly whole summer

I'd like to order some trout, but first I should double check - will there be any issues having trout and silvers in the same system but different tanks (I have 3000L FT and 1000L sump)??

I bought silvers a while back but they are still very small, so don't amount to much biomass as yet. I'd really like to try
trout again this year.

You can, but expect a couple of fatalities from both sides. Silvers from being eaten and Trouts from choking...as per my avatar

As long as they seperated... no problems.... your Silvers wont put on a lot of weight/growth over winter.... while your Trout will be ready for harvest before Xmas...

do I need to worry about a pH range that would suit them both? When I first put the silvers in I had a few fatalities until I adjusted the pH. The water had been okay for trout though.

Trout and Silvers tolerate 6 to 8 pH just fine

Gav, can you put the school down for 150 please? Will get back to you after the Easter break with current temps etc so we can arrange a delivery date. Might grab a dozen for home as well but will wait and see if I can be bothered with creating a separate netted compartment to keep my koi safe
