G'day South Australians.

Thanks to Monya for the silver he supplied for my system.
Check out the local store who had silver fingerlings for $8.95 each. Almost fell over.
Thank god for Monya.

The fingerlings are looking healthy and will post a few pics on my thread soon.
and looking forward to the next get together. :D

I'm in the Barossa Valley...Have set up a system using a 1000L IBC(will post photos soon) and have 26 silver perch, and a bed of asian greens, tomatoes and basil. This has been in operation for a week! and seems to be running OK. However, I'm not quite sure on the frequency of fill and drain or the feeding rates for this many fish.

G'day all. Living in Largs Bay,
my AP system is an old bath approx 250-300ltrs dug in to the ground for insulation filled to about 200ltrs with a half wooden wine barrel with hydroton and a bit of river rock in three 300mm pots in the barrel with 1/2 doz small pots jammed inbetween each larger pot got 3,1 mtr lengths of 100mm pvc sewer pipe with 9 holes cut all up in these with little pots filled with perlite 'walled' up 1 side for shading hthe bath(already modding my original plan) growing watermelon, mint, choc mint, basil, strawbs, chillies cues, toms lemongrass, viet coriander, all going ok a little yellowing (need sum chelated iron i reckon)

Im a little light on the fish with only 3 goldfish and 5 silvers- which cost me $6.50 each at 4.5 cms  never again at that price, had two yabbies which i never say again after they were put in they ran away i think. 950ltr /hr water pump that runs 15mins in the hour untill 7pm then 3 times during the night to minimize heat loss water temp around 24 during the day at the moment 30+ degree days 14 at night. Most of the fish have doubled in size in the last 2-3 mths except a couple that the petshop dude reckons might be females

Im looking for a small amount of sivers to add for more nuitrients and to start at least 2 more AP ystems up to around 30 or less Any small amount would be very helpful anyone got any ideas as to where i could get these sort of numbers without resorting to the pet store.( I onley payed as much as i did because i was impatiant and wanted to get started. If anyone got a few spare i would be happy to pay or maybe go in with someone whos putting in an order soon

I will get some photos up soon to show off my pride and joy. (the missus says she is now a AP widow- she has lost me to the garden)

$25 each (ONO)-----for goldfish which have carp coloured scales but change to a pure white after approw 6 months in a clean aquarium.

also interested in buying fish and fish food if anyone is getting in bulk and wants to share
