I gave up with them when I had a big blue with GD, when Murray started up mark 3 he said GD was gone so I posted a few things but other members were running BYAP down, discovered they had been banned many moons ago, I think one forum is enough for me anyhow but thought I would check it out see if any new info etc, I think Murray tries hard but to big on sell, sell, sell, and the new AP shop in Geelong that couldn't even set up a system for himself sought of blew me away. I suppose it's handy for people in Qld but you can't do any better than here, hardly any post editing, you can have a heavy discussion about anything without being banned or put in the naughty chair, the people promoting AP products know what they are talking about, The people promoting AP products refrain from doing so in the forum, many many active members, plenty of new idea's to try, plenty of new HSM's to avoid (plenty of groveling to win some discount soon :P ), I have also meet a dozen people through this forum in the flesh I feel I know a hundred+ more that hope to meet up with in the future, why bother with else where

I've made a concerted effort to "bite my tongue" as far as other aquaponics forums are concerned. There's plenty of room for lots of forums in this world and people will pick and choose where they want to spend their time. I don't agree with the abuse, argy bargy, and censorship that goes on. I guess in a way it's kind of nice that there's not so much directed at myself and BYAP now a days, but I do hope that things settle down soon, none of it is good for aquaponics, and it really is just schoolyard politics.

Think we can add aquaponicshq.toad to the list. I got moderated over there for pointing out safety issues with misleading advice given away as gospel based on a system that does not even exist. Now I find out they are still manipulating my posts and even sunk to the depth of re-writing my signature on posts. I've never had that type of low life treatment on forums. And thats the only thing I think that place will ever be No 1 at. I can't recommend that type of Nazi information manipulation and blatant censorship. But it's good to know I made an impression.

I've been there before but they didn't have the negativity I see there now. Just not much depth...New Moderator??? looks like they lack decent leadership. I liked the small animal parts of that forum but have BYAP Farming now  Also it appears to be all locked up. Maybe someone is trying to fix it. Nice to know there is a stinker over there. I won't be posting.

I can understand you doing that EB but I can't help myself especially when one forum's idea of winning members is shit canning another forum, (and in reality most got there idea's from BYAP anyhow) and the ones that do the most canning appear to know *frack* all about what they are doing, If next door was the forum I found first (think it may have been) I would have left by now anyhow (and I have), I agree that there is plenty of room for all, but others should stick to AP and quit the schoolboy politics, I think your not quite right for saying no of the crap is directed here, maybe not to you so much but this is the only other forum so it is directed here, I stopped going months ago, one guy commented on stuff I had written here (AP related) and when asked him about it he said he was barred from here so visited as a guest, so really the info provided there comes from here a lot, a few members cross dress between here and there which is fine, but when some seniors are poaching from one and passing it off as there own stuff then it's bullshit, and beleive it or not I have said so :P

What I like about this is that you're shit canning the other forum because it shit cans other forums  Very meta. Have a laugh. "Don't take life too seriously - you'll never get out alive."

Possibly Gemmell  but I tried the diplomatic approach a while ago and ended up worse than the boar war with GD going to rip my head off and some little gay boy threatening to sue etc etc, started over something simple that the main admin guy had no balls to stop even after forwarding several threatening PM's that I had received I was the one that got put in the naughty chair, possibly because I wasn't part of the circle, who cares, the leader over there told me GD had left so went back for a week and a different circle doing much the same, not canning them Gem, highlighting fact :P man you should have been a politician with a statement like that  but as EB said people choose where they want to be, but the other side is not for me, my opinion anyhow

something expired and post didn't finish, bloody work getting in the way again so

.........................as duff is/was, but I think someone should find another site to talk about, I am opinionated and have said enough, no doubt others will feel different and that is fine, it is a free country and not against the law to have an opinion, I have said all of the above elsewhere and it isn't back stabbing or being two faced, FF you are a member of both and it seems to suit you fine and I have nothing against people who choose to do that, actually I have nothing against the other forum or admin/mods I choose not to be there because of ethics and again it is a free country :)

I just read a review on a website about an aquaponics e-book, I won't post any more details than that, suffice to say it's been talked about a bit on the forum before, and the guy who wrote it seems to really be pushing it very hard at the moment...

Anyway, this was at the bottom of the article/review.

Quote:
The Small Print

DISCLOSURE: Blue Planet Green Living received a free copy of the Aquaponics e-book from the author.

Blue Planet Green Living’s policy is to only review those books we feel merit an overall positive review. If we do not like a book more than we dislike it, we do not review it. We are not influenced by any free copies and provide our honest opinions, both positive and negative.

Is it just me or does that really make no sense at all......

I had a bloke come here today and buy fish. Bought 120 silvers to put in his kit system. Not a BYAP one. 4 x 400 litre growbeds, 1000 litre (maybe 1200) fish tank and 250 litre? joined fingerling tank. Was told he could run one fish per 10 litres of water. So he wanted 120 fish... in a 1500 litre system... seems some people are still pushing the high stocking densities that have led to many many fish deaths...the fish will be fine until they get a bit of size to them then it will be pear shaped IMHO
