I think you will find that is a Guava. I can't tell what variety, but most of them are tastey :D

Yep, definitely a guava, looks a little like an Indian guava..

If it is an indian guava, they are beautiful, the smell of the ripe fruit is intoxicating, one fruit sitting in your kitchen will fill the house with a beautiful aromatic fruit sad type smell.

And the leaves have amazing medicinal properties.

Yes. Definitely a Guava. Ripens on the tree itself. Wait till it turns pale yellow or yellow before you pluck it. It is rather delicious!
