Hey Chillidude coming along well.

BTW the air pump sitting in the plastic box, on the pigmy perch tank. I have the same type of pump which gets quiet warm to touch. UR trapping the heat in the box, and picking up that hot air and transferring it to the tank (fine in winter) may not seem much but it all adds up.

Yeah, good point chainsaw - thanks.

Will probably be something I utilise in Winter rather than just letting all that heat go to waste. Seeing as I have paid for it :(

Yeah, I particularly like the way the weather has kicked in helped too - since there's been no heavy work left, it's been nice and relatively cool

Yeah, only did a little bit though. Rest of the day got spent putting up curtain rails  and putting down a home brew batch to ferment  .

Replaced the 40L/min air pump with a 120L/min so that there is now enough air for the third sump in the pictures (which will be where the reddies go initially).

OK - I'm not dead - progress has restarted. Have spent most of the weekend and some of last night sealing the FT as it's rendered brickwork with a concrete floor.

Ordered all (hopefully) of the plumbing I'll need to connect everything up, and Deon of Perth Irrigation Supplies kindly dropped it all off instead of me having to pay for truck delivery - thanks Deon.

A few piccies of the FT as work progressed. The tank is 3.4 x 1.6 x 0.55.

What was the hole under the window that you have patched up for?

Just before they poured the slab, the architect got the builder to put some pipework there for me to integrate into the AP system, without checking with me. The end result was that it was too low and I was effectively losing about a ¼ of the depth of the pond. Also, there were 2 x 90° elbows before I could access the outside end which adds significantly to the head that the pump has to overcome, and I already have a fair amount of lift that the pump needs to cope with as the GBs are all on a tiered slope.

So, I cut them off and patched over it.
