Wow, what a monster... I love the Armenian cucumber, we had some seeds planted here but they didn't come up, I've grown them at home though and they are fantastic, grew a couple of big ones like that and was very surprised that they still tasted ok, they weren't bitter or tough..

Did you eat it? Was it ok?

No I haven't tried it yet. I have had a couple get nearly a big and they were fine so I think this one will be OK as well :)

I had trouble getting them to germinate directly in the grow beds (seeds just rotted), so I raised them in trays then transplanted them when they had a 3 or 4 proper leaves. No problems doing this way 8)

My effort isn't big but for the most unusual section, the pics below are of Tigger Melons, so called because they look like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh when they are ripe, (CD the first one wasn't right inside) They are same colour as a rock melon inside and taste a bit like a rock melon and something else that I haven't worked out yet, they only grow about as big as an apple, only had a total of 3 but that seems to be the norm with vine fruit and veg this year in Narrogin, all my pumpkins and cucumbers had male flowers and the rockies only just fared better

Plenty of info on the net, they all say rare but seems to be everyone selling seeds, they are very different in taste
a snipet from the net wrote:
Cucumis melo var. reticulatus
'Tigger' Melon
Vibrant yellow fruit with brilliant fire-red
zigzag stripes and fragrant, sweet, white
flesh that gets sweeter when grown dry.
Small in size, the fruits weigh about
1 lb. Vigorous plants yield heavily.
Heirloom variety rediscovered at an
Armenian produce market
