2 x 12,500 litre aquaculture tanks ordered today. I would have ordered them sooner, but I was waiting for the money to be there - then found out when I order that they are COD, so I could have already nearly had them here. GRRRR.

Death by Photos Been a busy couple of months, working heaps to pay for this system.



My tanks are on the front, pilot escort out to Kal, from Perth.











So then I had to dig a hole, and shovels are not an option this time.

I needed a crane to get the first tank into position, mainly because it was nested inside the other one.









Had to make sure it was level.







The girls spent most of the day in the tank as I was plumbing up the IBC's.




No Shovels!




OK, maybe a little bit of shoveling.




Tomorrow should see the other 5 IBC's installed, plumbed and filled with gravel. Stage 1 of 4 should be completed

Not washing the gravel OBO....

And errr... where's the standpipes/siphons??

Your welcome to come and wash 20 ton of gravel if you like. I have not washed gravel since the first system I built, and this stuff is not hat bad. The growbeds at the old house ended up with about a 1/2" of silt on the bottom of them. I have had the sprinkler on it though

I am using standpipe siphons Rupe.

I'm sure you are OBO..... .... just couldn't see them in the pics....

I'll get pictures of plumbing setup today, was sort of running out of time last night

As promised, progress from today. Not quite as far as I had hoped, but you try to get a 50mm DWV joiner in Kalgoorlie on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm

It was not quite as hot in Kal today, the girls are trying to be fingerlings in the fingerling tanks

Just ran out of daylight to go any further All in all not too bad. Gone from flat ground to this in 3 working days. Water will be flowing tomorrow
