I have a 590L tank,20 L filter, 2X 100L grow bed media blue metal gravel. Depth not quite 300 mm but provides stability for the roots. Three pumps, 1 X 500l per hour 2 X pumps 2000l per hour. One GB continuous flow using the 500l p/h pump other GB on timer every 10 mins. System running for a month now water still brown from Seasol being added.

Tested my water, using my newly acquired master test kit, struggle to match colours so there may be some margin of error
Amm 0
ites 0.25
ates 10-20
ph7.4 ~ 7.6

Previous tests using strips taken about a week ago. As per previous disclaimer
Amm 0
ites 0
ates 40
ph 6.8

Added the second grow bed 2 weeks ago could be cause of the increase in PH. Just wondering if the jump in ph and ites a cause of concern?

24 Perch, size 100 to150 mm all seems fine. I am feeding twice a day 4 teaspoons of crushed pellets sometime feed them lettuce and maybe a prawn or two. Capsicum's have started to flower but no flowers on the toms yet. Seeds have sprouted in new GB I think it's bok choi, apple cucumber and broccoli can't remember whats what as just threw the seeds in. Mesh put over to protect seedlings from cat as she likes to lie in the grow bed and drink the water as it enters.

Tried to upload some photo's but files too large so will need to edit them or retake

Great work!!!! Welcome!
For photos. If using windows xp, you can get the image resizer power tool and resize the jpg to medium 800x600 and it should be great for the forum.
