the drawing is still going through several incarnations (with the help of chainsaw offline).

Thought I would post a piccie of non progress over the last week (thanks to Olga).

Heard on the weather report last night, so far this January we have had ~450mm and still counting (that's about 18 inches on the old scale).

How is your site Jaymie?

Well the weather certainly hasn't been helping things. Plan a day of work and along comes the rain ... again. In January we had 545mm and February (to date) is 307mm.

But work must go on .......

I plan to cover the original shed roof with Colourbond (Trimdeck) and the side "extensions" will have 30% green shadecloth on roof, ends and sides.

Managed to finish the paving yesterday and "edged" the pavers last night. Two hours later the rains arrived. At least it's washing some of the sand between the cracks.

Malcolm

Well ALUI has been and gone. Very lucky it was 250km South of us when it crossed the coast. Last night we had 122mm (my gauge) whilst other places around here recorded over 200mm for 24 hrs.

Managed to get a bit of work done each day to bring the AP shed up to scratch. Now I can start doing AP setup stuff

Here is a few photos ....

I'm thinking of digging this fibreglass tank into the ground in front of the FT and have each of the six GB (bathtubs) drain into it. The top of the ST would be level with the pavers and I would put a safety cover over the top. (so I don't fall in). The pickup pipe (sitting on top of tank in photo) would pickup from centre of tank. The pump will sit in between the ST and FT.

Any suggestions or other ideas ?

Hehe.. I take your point DD, Nice greenhouse MC :headbang:

Just a point about buring the sump, you don't want to be finding a floater(sump) after all that nice work.
So you would take a lot of care about not leaving a void around the sides for water to invade and hydrostatically lift it :support: .
Wouldn't you??
Love yer work  :thumbright:

Thanks for advice C1.

I previously had a fibreglass swimming pool in the yard but gave it away to make way for my shed. When we removed it, it had holes on the bottom caused by the acid soil. Lesson learned - when I sink this tank I'll wrap it in plastic, place in hole, fill with water, then backfill.

I have another sump (about 0.5m3) at the end of my large shed as part of my stormwater harvesting system. Three 90mm pipe in, one 90mm overflow to street and a 32mm pipe to the large tank at the end of the shed using sump pump. During the rain on Monday night, I redirected to hose to the FT and filled it up. Now I have to get into gear to stop the water going green. LOL. I'll post a couple of photos later.

Boy the last couple of days has been strenuous. Work 30 minutes, rest a couple of hours. But I got there. Joan said I had to keep my fluid intake up in that humidity; so I did :drunken: .

A couple of photos from the last two days work .....
