I had a report (unconfirmed sighting) from Margaret River way, that hundreds were seen hanging on boronia bushes.
Perhaps attracted to the strong scent???

Heaps here at the moment also. I don't have a biopod or a nockpod, but I do have a pile of chicken shit down in my garden which got wet over Xmas in the big rains and ended up full of soldier fly larvae. Lovely

Yeah, thanks guys - now I even appreciate the self-harvesting nature of the biopod even more

Chillidude has contributed to populating Narrogin with BSF's, our second try after Fayes contribution in October, so the pod is loaded with leftovers awaiting the harvest, I know the pod works because of huge blow fly harvest a couple of months ago, so no blowies around now and should get the real thing in a few days :|

I have been working on a biopod setup and the one I have seems to work. The real problem with these systems it making a harvest system/bug ladder. This is what I came up with. The ladder is made out of a strip of doormat that is common here. They often have a white daisy on them. I never had a good colony going in the bucket being winter but some of them did climb up and into the collector. Next summer I will have a better chance to test.
