Close up of perlite it rises 20mm when flooded and sinks 20mm below level when drained after 1 day.

Hi Jim, quick question.

Your NFT setup is that totally hydro or are you connected to fish tanks

Do you use net pots and continous flow - nutrients only
or
pots with grow media, or grow media in gullies??

Totally hydro nutrients only with medium in mesh pots.but is going to change to aquaponics exclusively.

Have just been out to fine tune the perlite grow bed could be a bit of a chalenge, just like a 1948 rover 75 with twin SU carburettors fiddle for a while and hey presto runs like a switch watch. 8)
