I didn't need one, and I am in Kelmscott. They asked if I had one - but I think that is to cover themselves.
Do you have an inverter handy?

Shivas,
I looked for a small inverter at work but couldn't find one (we have many of them), so I bought one of the battery powered ones (2 D cells).
I got them home with no losses.
I got 200 SP at $0.49 each.

My big inverter is a 48VDC/240VAC 4.2 KVA (30 minute rating) stand alone inverter.
Call me some time (0429 889 610) if you are interested in my system.
Our last power bill was for$19.25 but my next one should be a credit note.

Regards,
Tony

picked up 100 silvers from GP a couple days ago

theyre definitely not 30mm , closer to 10mm,
price has gone up to 49c each aswell

honestly I should have told the guy that I'd changed my mind after seeign the pathetic size of them , but theyd already fished em out and carted em up & kept em alive in a bucket for half a day , maybe I shoulda saved my money and spent it on enough seasol to keep things going till troutman turns up later this year

I saw a couple of them nibbling at the crumbled up trout pellets I threw in , but onl once . looks like theyre not eating yet

Hang in there guys! I got 40 GP SP when they first came in early Dec. Yes, Only about 10-15mm. Most of them are now about 30-35mm and eat like pigs. There are still a couple of runts that dont seem to have grown much. They are quite happy in the 1000lt BYAP tank with 9 goldies.

Crush 4mm pellets between two half pavers is my method. Was going to use the mortar and pestle but I got the look from the best buddie and knew it was out of the question.

Ohh Yeah, Rupe. Thought about doing a sneaky blend in the coffee grinder but those pellets stink sooo bad! Wouldnt be able to keep a straight face for next dinner party.

I like Rupert's idea of using a Mullamatic if this is what he was talking about

just don't ask me how I connected the dots :hippy2:

For me this would work best as I have SP ranging from 30mm to 150mm and I want a variety of size out of my 4mm pellets to ensure all the fish get a feed.

I tried the two blade food processes and it just spun the pellets around in a circle with out chopping much (pellets too light I think) so I snuck it back ito the kitchen after washing it of course.

I now use a morter and pestle I made in my shed out of a tow ball and a concave piece of 10mm plate steel
