Has anybody here actually used Sex reversal feeds, what are the plus and minuses and where can I get some?

Yep I've used it in Thailand on Tilapia . Plus is obvious , male only fast growing fish.
I bought it at the same time I bought 500,000 fry from a place about 150 ilometres west of Bangkok.
I have no idea where to get it in the USA

Yes I can guess the all male is a plus in tilapia but was wondering about residuals in an ap system. I wouldn't mind zapping them into males then the stuff is gone but I have two pretty young daughters who would't look quite so good with beards. I guess it can be done in a seperate aquarium as fingerlings then transfer them to system.

Baton ,, the food is only used for a few weeks , once them there Tilapia are Male they stay that way ,, conversion??? is some 98%. Safety seems to be ok , they have been doing it for a long time in Thailand ,, but they may well explain the number of "Katoy" ( lady-boys) there:)

Nice link, I believe you've posted it before. They'll ship some with 3000 fry I see they have barramundi also. Someone mentioned on the forum somewhere I could get them at a tropical fish supply in New Orleans. No laws against them yet that I know of. They certainly get bigger than Tilapia! I will do some more googling for the feed from the Big feed mfgs.

Yep I have posted that link before. The guy helped me out a lot when my Tilapia farm was going full bore.
I hope to visit him again next year, nice guy AND has the miracle touch to get Thai people to actually do some work!!! I really must get him to show me how that is done.

My youngest is a sophmore in high school. When she starts college I may take a foregn assignment. Middle east is 1.5x regular pay but not a good place to be Thailand is 1.25 regular pay but everybody likes it and some come back with wives I was trying to get info on australia but of the investments down there they are not the major stockholder or operator. I was hoping to find a 3-6 month outage to work down there.

Batonrouge ,, If you can get good dollars Thailand truly is "Disneyland for men". Living in Bangkok you will need to be able to cope with traffic snarls like you've never seen before , pollution and the oppresive heat ,, but side benefits are great. Food is great and cheap , but you will always pay extra for everything because you are a "Farang" ( foreigner)
If you do decide to go , let me know and I'll hook you up with some good people ,, a close Swiss mate owns a hotel and bar there , has lived there for about 12 years now , he can help you find your feet and STOP YOUR BRAIN FROM EXPLODING:)
