Well the fruit trees love it.

Was it just a regular testing or did you notice something wrong. I had high readings in an inside tank and it was only the fish behaviour that made me test. Did you locate the cause.

So the fish had an accident and ten died while remodeling... Where they rearranging the marron hide, bit of a fish tank blitz?

I've just processed another 15...
Going into the vacuum sealer.
...another 15 to come out and go into the smoker
Should leave about 40.
The weights have not been assessed, though they are a great size
Some to about a Kg... some as little as 500g
Back to the tank. more good work for the tin tack

The water temp is about 21c, so far I have put in a 10ltr bucket of frozen water.
2 x 2ltr bottles and a few more waiting.

Quick update...
Well I harvested most of the trout today.
Around 30 kg
and Hot smoked a few




I have figured out why my system has been giving me the 'iri its'
Going to F&D am going back to continuous flood in the next few weeks.

I find the worms work harder in continuous flood as it acts more as a filter. But I do like to drop a bell in and drain the GB's every week or so to clear out any funky spots. Was good when I ran two pumps the second one made the siphon kick in and could be put on one of those weekly timers so I didn't have to do anything. The first pump ran 24/7.

BTW the far left fish was 990g and they are large dinner plates...

Ivan whats your main reason for continual flood [water quality or what ]

what hight are you flooding to !
A300 bed what depth water!
do you still have a small hole to drain in power failure !

Temp only, seems it is more of a constant, when flood 24/7
and the GBs don't pick up the heat gain during the drain cycle.
Everything else is the same.
