Hi there my name is Indi,
My partner and I are moving to Tom Price and have an entertainer system to start us off. We are hoping to introduce a whole bunch of new people to AP's. That way we can order Barra fingerlings in bulk from Broom and share the costs.

Anyone else up that way???

Peace

Indi and BBB

There are a couple of people up your 'region'.

I am sure they will make themselves known :) Biggest problems seem to be pests the further north you go.

Hi guys,
well there is another system on its way to Mt Newman, not far from you I think.
Haven't seen them on the forum yet, but I am sure word will spread once you get there.
Good luck with the move :)

I am currently in Newman, but a temporary resident. Bit over 2 hours drive to Tom Price I think, just the other side of Karijini

Been working here for 3 months, fly in/fly out.

Had the camera here for a while. A bit of Karijini action on my Flickr page

Well we are all settled in and have just got our Jade Perch in the tank. Only 30 of the 40 survived but not too bad. They are feeding well and the seedlings that we planted from seed seem to have taken off a bit more. The tomato is slow but the beans are going really well.

Evapouration is pretty bad and the water temp can reach 35 degrees, but the fish don't seem to mind. Just getting a water testing kit now so we will know more soon.

Have floated some lettuce seed in yogurt containers in some styrofoam in the tank, they have germinated quickly so will be good to see how they go.

Can't wait to hear from other in the Pilbara

Cheers Indi and BBB

wow, 35 degree water is pretty warm....

Go easy with your feeding to begin with and let things build up slowly. How big are your fish?

Yeah generally aquarium suppliers, or wholesales in the east who don't give a damn about paperwork and regulations, which is quite a large percentage of them.

Are Jades not aloud in WA?
Forgive me because I am new too all this...
Please don't tell me I have got bad fish

But otherwise, they are fingerlings and my partner is under the impression that one and a half tablespoon is the go, is this too much?

Cheers for the feed back

indi
