I just dosed my plants with a watering can of seasol soil wetter instead of plain seasol.
Will it kill the fish??
The water has bubbles in it like its had detergent added to it.
Anyone know if it will be alright??

Please provide a link to the exact product you used. Then I'll try to find what evils it may contain.
Detergent like frothing is a bad sign though.

Yeah, I dont know what is worse though...a panicked water change or leaving the soil wetter in.... I would be allowing the garden hose to run slowly into the tank to dilute the soil wetter. And heaps of aeration.

The product is "seasol concentrated super soil wetter & conditioner"
doesnt say much on their website.
I put a cap full in a 9 litre watering can and watered the growbed.
When I realised I diverted the growbed drain pipe out of the tank and pumped about a third of the water out through the bed, then added more water to the tank. Its still a bit bubbly though.
Guess I'll have to wait and see.

Well I guess you will be able to tell us pretty soon Oldute!
Wetting agent may have the same sort of effect as detergent, the concentration I think will be the determining factor. :(
Good luck and keep us posted.

Everything seems fine, water still a bit bubbly but decreasing.
The Barra's have never fed so well.
Almost as ferocious to the pellets today as trout are. :D
