Chift Pist is more reliable also because the pumps are in cleaner water.

Optimum size is 90 mm then after you clear the fish tank you can drop to 50 mm

There is a 3000L chift pist system in Mount Waverley that you and your Beautiful entourage are welcome to revisit in order to jog your memory.
Last week I converted it for a couple of days from auto syphon to timers to try and keep the heat down.
Took less than 10 minutes to do the swap!!
And about 3 minutes to swap back after the heatwave.

naw the hole saw would be for the hole in the fish tank for the SLO drain to the grow beds.

Seeing you are starting with virtually a clean slate here's another scenario i assume the main crop will be trout [in Victoria we can ] what or more important where are you going to put your follow on crop of fish [silvers ect]
You know the ultimate is a 2 tank system [like dickos i am shore if you asked he would send photos  ]
because if you have 100, i kg trout in your tank and put in 100 2 in silvers ect i am shore the trout will thank you 8)
Also as you know here in victoria theres no yearling silvers so unless somewon[ monya] does a run you will need to heat this years silvers to get them through the winter
I can think of a thousand reasons to have a 2 tank system
As i said to Quanchy a smaller tank in the shed [heated ] connected to a biofilter and an occasional water change will do

Yep I'm definetly doing 2 tanks. I've seen dickos system a few times now.

Putting the second tank in the shed isn't possible at all though. I need to pull down a shed to fit all this in and being a neat freak this also needs to look shmick.

My issue Is I want this as neat as possible... I am trying to work out the neatest possible method whilst still making it functional. I also want to be able to access as many sides of the grow beds as I can.
