They were long, about 6" and may have had longitudinal stripes. It was hard to tell. Catching them would take a big illegal net or lots of patience.

Well I'm pretty flexible. Ēadweard has been pretty good lately but any plans made have to fit around his unpredictability. Over the next few days I'm trying to get stuff done outside while it is not to hot so basically any afternoon until Tuesday would suit me. KP would probably prefer a weekend but since he probably won't have the time we might as well suit our selves :P

This spot I know has yabbies (bigones), trout, redfin (obviously), flat-headed gudgeons, mystery fish (galaxiid?) and unfortunately mosquito fish. If the mystery fish are not galaxiids then it is a good bet that galaxiids are there as well. Plus there is a good chance that there are black fish as well.

tubularesque!

Um this weekend... I will check with DW, I may be given the time off... perhaps if I mentioned a pleasant drive to the mountains? It all depends on the fine print of the invite ;-)

I would LOVE to come though.

Maybe a mention of the Elder Flower or Rhubarb Sparkling may entice?

DW is heavily gravid. Booze and excessive energy requirements are off the table :-)

Well I used to say they were not alcoholic but the last few batches definitely were, so oh well.

When I caught the redfin the other day there was a guy out there fly fishing while his wife sat in a deck chair back near the car.

She looked quite relaxed.
