Hi every body this is what good food does, the fish and plants have grown at an amazing rate, amonia an nitrites are up a bit but extra pumping time keeps it under control.

Hi Jim,

Nice system. What's the really big plant in the back middle grow bed? It looks like you have another one in a grow bed behind the auto pots as well.

Hi Jim,
I've been to the Autopot website and they have their own version of autopot aquaponics. It seems the purpose of the FT is for the autopot system to draw water from and whatever amount of water taken will just be replaced. They still supply hydroponic nutrient to the autopot system. I am very interested in Autopot AQ because I have some few units that I bought from Malaysia. Do you think my plants in Autopot will survive in pure AQ water? Your plants seems to be doing well. Do you still put some additives?
Your inputs will highly be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Abey

Hi Abby
I add nutrient A&B to the autopots, and keep EC around 30, the autopots are good for water exchange in the fish tanks and helps to keep the nasties at bay.I have succesfuly grown just about anything in autopots with only AP water.

Nice one Jim... :thumbright: Just noticed your earlier posts there about fish feed, this is one of the most important aspects of aquaponics, if you want your fish to grow fast and you want to keep it simple and not have to add supplemental nutrients, quality feed.....

Those grain based feeds just don't really cut it, not the ones I have tried anyway.
