I was going to ask also what was holding the seedlings in place, did you just cut V small holes in the foam and poke the roots through?

Nice work :)

for some of the holes I've had to put some of the foam back in at the top to hold the smaller plants in place. Since I tethered the rafts too I haven't had any fall through. When the rafts were free to float around the tank, the pump pushed a couple of the smaller plants out. I found them swimming around the tank. But the foam plugs have stopped that!

Small holes in the foam, 12mm-ish squares. I also used the apple-corer for some of them, that worked really well.

Love the rafts with the strawbs - we've only got em in the dirt and the slugs and snails get there first :p

I have them tethered to the side of the tank to keep them out of the way of the pump.

Here's me thinking the anchor ropes are so you didn't have to dive in to rescue them or for harvesting purposes :sad4:

So the holesaw hasn't arrived yet? :bigsmurf:

Nicely done - just realised I've got all this spare styrofoam and aqua space

I've got my OWN holesaw thank you very much! My brother gave it to me!
I have to use it soon to make up the strawberry towers.

We don't have a thermometer up there

I've had to replace the house max/min one last week because the Boo dropped it on the floor (glass, mercury and 2 year olds.... ), so I can't justify another one for the fish just at the moment. I might get a cheap brewers one soon, see how that goes.

The water seems to stay fairly cool, which is good (cool for here  )

Jaymie and Axl all looking good, coming along well.

How did you fold the edges of the tank over for a 'safe edge'?
I thought the tank was a fairly thick guage steel

Yeah it was/is I had to grip it with vice-grips to bend it a little bit than belted it with a club hammer to make it curve over! The neighbours LOVED IT! I had ear muffs on and I know how loud it was with them on!
