Did you cycle the tanks overnight eg pump out to the grow beds, bet you did or you dont have covering over the tanks,, Mine I covered and didnt pump out overnight and it went from mid 17's to 20 overnight in 2000 litres of water using a 300 watt heater, pumped the grow beds this morning and it dropped back to 18

If I recall correctly you have two 1000L tanks right?? So you have more water to heat. I have only got 1 1000L tank so I suppose it is easy to raise the temperature...

I covered my 1000 litre tank overnight but still pumped 15 minutes every 2 hours. It was sitting at 20 degrees yesterday and this morning. Barra havent fed since I got them a week ago. Should warm up in a few days.

Yeh forecast is good this weekend, low 30's again next week, talk about topsy turvey weather here in perth this year

My pump only runs for 4 minutes in the hour, but thats still enough to suck all that warmth out of the water and put it into the rocks

Got the ultimate heater

Im currently installing some solar water sheets on the roof for our pool this year, currently the pleasant swimming time decreases every year, so this year Im installing the water sheets onto the patio roof for the pool, managed to convince minster of finances to allow me to pinch one of the sheets for the ponds, so installed this morning, current outside air temp 21 degrees celsius at the moment, my fish ponds a nice 26.5 degrees, and Ive only pumped through the panel 5 times so far ""outstanding"", however me thinks when the weather gets really hot I may need to turn the bypass for the roof heaters off otherwise I will have steamed barra
