Your presumption is incorrect Rupe. That was tank temps. that was the day some were up at the surface.

They're fine Rupe... feeding this morning.
some are getting close to 300mm long.

this Bakki shower you have, in your opinion does it remove nitrogen? I only want it for cooling, but extra filtration would be good. removal of nitrates would be bad though. for the plants anyhow.

I expect a Bakki shower will only remove lots of nitrogen if there is an anoxic layer in the media. I'm gonna guess that the media rupe has for his bakki showers won't have a low oxygen layer.

well water temps were sub 21 this evening. I can only hope they cool further before the big 38 degrees we have coming.

You've got to get that fan going Kuda. Are the tops of your IBC's all open or is it just the middle section open? If the tops are not right off I would have thought that would be keeping it hotter and not allowing it to evaporate even naturally with the air let alone forced air. ??? Just trying to come up with some ideas for you

Even though if you could raise the water level of a beed or 2 so putting a fan on that to get some surface area for a fan to work for you.

You could always evacuate them to cooler climes. Like somewhere in the mountains near Melbourne perhaps?

I can't imagine anyplace like that around Stu. There are mountains close, but I can't think of anybody who'd take them in, being damaged goods and all.

Lets hope we can ride out the next two days.
I want to have trout to show off at my BBQ

Did you get hit by the hot weather? Was 38 here today. It's 10pm and my tank water is 26 degrees.
