Looking good.
What sort of temperatures do you get inside the green house this time of year?

thanks Jessy.

Hi Scott, the current outside temp is 14 degrees. The greenhouse is 20 degrees.

All the tomato bushes are in flower so today is sexy day. The radishes are ready to be pulled, the new beans are sprouting, the current lollo lettuce are almost finished. The mesulin is ready for leaf collecting.

We have just collected 4 kg of potatoes (the very first we have ever grown) out of our dirt garden.

Today we have removed the top 3 inches of the maidenwell and replaced it with clay balls. At this stage it is only in one of the beds to see if it makes any difference with the moulds and fungi that we tend to suffer.

Even the moss has flowers.

We have ended up with way too much lettuce, so we thought we would share it with the neighborhood.

time for a couple of photos. These are of the dragon beans, and the out of control black russian tomatoes. It is the first time that we have pruned the tomatoes in this fashion. Didnt think about what to do with them when they got too long for the stand.

Regarding the layering of media - is it true that if you mix the maidenwell and hydroton that the hyrdroton just makes its way back to the top because it's lighter? Or have you found that after you've dug around a bit it all remains mixed?

The gravel in my beds tends to end up below the hydro over time.

Well that's good to know for my next setup. A good way to cut costs.

Hi Gemmell, we havent mixed our 2 medium, the hydrotron is on top of the maidenwell and meant to be that way. We did this to try and help control some of the biological problems we were having with moss and fungi.
We havent started rooting around in the bed yet as the new beans and peas are still quiet young
