That circle on the bricks in the second photo is that where an image of the fish god appears at a given time each day

Good news:
My Master Test Kit arrived today
Water Parameters:
pH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Nitrite - 0
Temperature 16.5

But - I do not think the fish god is happy, and I think he is encouraging the fish to jump out of the tank. Hmmm - I saw no evidence but our dog mysteriously dissapeared behind the tank for 5 minutes and came out looking rather happy and I counted 8 fish 2 days ago and just 5 today. No sinkers or floaters.
Could it be because we are trying to do our first cycle with fish?

Looks like just 3 trout fingerlings left (which I was going to move to a tank or sacrifice to some Barra) and 2 Bream.
Now I am faced with a dilemma should I sacrifice the 3 remaining trout to the freezer for fish food later (they are really small) and put the 2 remaining Bream in a heated fish tank to join 5 happy (so far) Barra? Then start a fishless cycle? Any advice appreciated?

Cheers Tarmac
