I think I remember last year having the same thing with increasing light, heat, etc.
Bigger fish more load, veggies being re-sown
So relatively light nitrate take up :|
Dons' tanks are the same... Dark :?

C1, how high were you flooding the continuous flooded beds? I am about to add a whole heap more growbeds, and I wont have enough sump water to be able to flood and drain. So they will be always flooded.

Wish the spider was available

Cool, was going to make it a bit lower just to provide a bit of dry area.

No, more semi-constant flow, continuously flooded, relatively low flow rate.

But the existence (perhaps) of spiders could change the whole plan to a much gooderer one :)

Hi flow flood and drain woohoo

Each of my beds was flowing at a rate of 9ltr/min.

Thats still a pretty low flow rate I suppose - any long term differences you reckon you had?

TBH I have changed a few beds from sort of constantly flooded to siphon flood and drain, and there seems to be no difference. I push my beds pretty hard though with high flows and no real dry periods.

Hmmm... no didn't really notice anything...
Prolly why I have gone back... to see if there is a difference :flower:
I felt that constant flooding kept the water body most constant (Duh! )
...but could be wrong. We shall see.

The water has finally started to clear up...
I have been offered, by eagle to test the water but have been too afraid to do so.

I am just about to go harvest a few Trout so will get a few photos this time
