So here am I once again havng to push aside the stereotypes and prejudices to defend the male nurse. We might only make up approximatly 10% of the profession but you'd be in a hell of alot of trouble without us. I'm sure that Stu, being about 6 foot tall and after having a back op, would have appreciated a male who generally speaking is a little bit taller and stronger than his female colleague. I'm sure that Heather appreciated that he had a male nurse too!

I know quite a few male nurses and am meeting lots of future ones at uni, and of course the stereotypical male nurse is about as accurate as the stereotypical female one but I'm sorry to say that Dougie probably isn't doing the rest of you any favours!
