Here is my BSF collector. Works great and the price was right. Only problem is its too small. When I find some larger buckets I'll make another version.

Jerry, I love you really simple bucket version. would be very simple to scale that up to a blue barrel version I think. Just need an ant proof stand. For simple construction and easy ramp, I think the angled bucket probably beats all for simplicity. And that basic design looks to me very simple to scale up to any size barrel/bucket or trash can.

Nice design Country boy, my concern is my ramp, and the fact it is still freezing here, the ramps on wall seem to work better, but we will see

CB,
Fantastic stuff. Simple and neat! Can't wait to see the sketchup. Specially love the angled box one. Except it probably doesn't hold too much quantity of scrap.

They are pretty quiet up here as well Nocky. We haven't had many new larvae, and the pods are sitting in the sun to get the daily warmth. I did see a fly a few days ago but I'm not expecting much action for a few more weeks yet once the temperatures warm up a little.

Nigel I am convinced there are NO! BSF in Narrogin, beautiful weather over the weekend and not a maggot, will check again today, have tempted them with AP grown POK CHOI and coles bought banana's, but to no avail, surely coles cant *frack* up banana's as well, may need faye to bring some BSF's down for the Festival

Bummer. Glad to hear they're in Perth though - should be getting my system together around the the start of Summer - perfect timing. Possibly the only upside to having the world's slowest builder. That and that my AP system should cycle up in good time.

I have trouble keeping track of your seasons there, heck, I have trouble keeping track of the season's here too. I grew up in a place where the seasons were pretty hard to lose track of, in winter you had a meter of snow on the ground. In spring in melted. In summer it got a bit warm some years. In fall all the leaves fell and so on, was easy to keep track of. Here it is a little more like dry season and hurricane season, sometimes it gets chilly after hurricane season, otherwise it is hot and humid year round. What month these thing happen in seems to be shifting.
