Haven't visited this thread in a while. Quick update:

Planning a big 4000lt system, so this smaller system will become my fingerling tank. It currently has 800lt FT and 660lts of growbed. The plan is to have these beds as my herb and lettuce beds. I am currently thinking of making mini greenhouses over the top of some of these GBs made out of pvc pressure pipes and clear plastic. will see what I come up with.

tried to get a photo of the trout, but couldn't. anyone got any tips on how to get photos of fish?

Anyway, a total of 6 x110ish lt gbs and 2 tanks max at 1000lts, but only keep it at about the 800 mark.

On the last photo, the furtherest tank has about 20 silver perch and the closer tank has 15 rainbows and browns.

Edit - the new gbs have Affnan's bell valve and are working beautifully. will let the beds cycle through for a week or so before planting.
They will also have the greenhouse put over them once I design it.

Sorry Milne, will take those tomorrow. I had a technical issue when taking photos, ie battery died. On charge at the moment. IBCs not delivered yet but some work has gone into digging/leveling out where the FTs are going. Still undecided about sump configuration at this stage. Will see how the digging goes first - even with the rain, still like digging into concrete in some spots.

Here are some more pics. I could wait to put in the strawberries, so planted one of the new gbs full of strawbs. Will leave the second one clear until next week.

The other photo is a cast iron bathtub soon to be worm farm. I've had it for a while but ain't gonna move it until I know EXACTLY where it is going to go as I don't want to have to move it ever again after that.

File comment: compost heap. currently have horse poo, straw and grass clippings in it. I have put in a tube of wire in the middle to help allow air to get into the middle. Will keep adding green grass clippings to keep the heat generating. It was steaming the other day in the rain!
