Low light conditions, damn hard to focus... really fast shutter speed, so high ISO and large aperture to compensate. Hence harder to focus.

Top left looks like a cucumber or perhaps sunflower.
Top right looks like a lettuce of some variety.
Bottom left perhaps broccoli or radish....
Bottom right is definately beetroot or one of the chards/silverbeet.

thanks joel, from what you say then:
Sunflower
Cos Lettuce
Radish (maybe broccoli but I don't think I planted that)
and Beetroot - I'd already guessed this one ;-)

Thanks for your help... What did you think of my spider? he just wouldn't sit still!

Spiders are buggers of things to get when they are those little tiny ones aren't they, they jump around too much.. How many snaps did it take to get that?

About 6 I was already late for work, the wide aperture made it hard to get him in focus, the low light and subsequent long exposure made it hard to hold the shot still. Focal length was 6cm

If you spray them with baygon a few minutes before, they do tend to stay still for photos ;)

Awww Axl! :cry: spiders keep the evils fewer in my garden.
don't eat the slugs though... I wonder if I fenced it all in if the quail would eat the slugs.

The quails might eat the spiders too :) Then they might eat all of your new seedlings and grow SO Big that they will break into your house and eat your young child!!!!!!!! Beware of Quails!!!!!!! :geek:
