A place to discuss aquaponics

Recently was invited to submit an article about aquaponics for inclusion in the three Illawarra community newspapers ... Kiama Independent, Lake Times and Northern Leader... as part of their month long (4 editions) Sustainability feature...

The papers have a combined circulation of over 250,000 and cover the entire Illawarra region...

Submitted copius material about what aquaponics was and how it worked... with many diagrams and pictures...

Disappointingly this was all they published... but at least it may go some way toward promoting aquaponics to a wider audience...

The same article appeared in the two other papers...

I'm hoping that I might be able to do some sort of follow up in the next editions... actually explaining what "Aquaponics" is in a bit more detail and with a few more pics...

AHHH Now I rermember they had a very unsuccessfull Rugby league team ,, that joined the best team ever:)

Good show Rupe! I have seen that sort of thing here in the US concerning articles, the paper will condense a subject down to a minimum. Seems they "fish" for interest and come back later with more only if there is demand. So get your friends to write in asking for more. I will email myself.

Well at least I know the article is being read and generating some interest...

Had a call today from Michael, a TV film maker based in Nowra... who wants to do a segment this Thursday for the "Living On The Coast" e-zine... a weekly feature program on the free-to-air community TV station "Television Sydney"...

While they only transmit within the greater Sydney metro region... the resulting program will be available streaming on-line on the web...

Guess I'd better have a shave... and mow the lawns...
