Photo was taken about 4:30pm yesterday. Normally the area has good strong light for about 5 hours of the day. Sun hits them early morning. I haven't used them in this location yet so if I find not enough light then I'll use them for something that requires less light. Channels will be added at the top of the Fenceline where they were before. This time I'm splitting them into 3 metre lengths with the highest point in the centre of the Fence.

Banana Lillies are there just over winter to give the fish plenty of cover, this is the first winter I've had the pond finished so I wasn't sure if the Lillies would die off. I'll do a good trimming before Winter Ends. Even with all these I haven't had any problems with lack of nutrients.

I believe the recommendation for growing veg is 6 hours direct sunlight. However if you're happy growing low light stuff like lettuce, then you're apples (or in this case lettuces) anyway.

Finally gotten my Channels back up and split in half rather then the 6 metre lengths like I had before. Pot System is up and running also so all plumbing is completed. Decking is 90% Finished so the project is now in its final stages.

My Plumbing, here all the clean filtered water from my Main Filter is gravity fed into the 200 Litre Drum and within the drum I have placed the Pumps that feed the 4 Channels and the 11 Pots. All the water is returned back to the Pond from the Channels and the Overflow of the 200 Litre Drum through the 90mm PVC. The Pot System water is returned through two water spouts so that its a Visual thing so that I can see when the Water is Flowing and the Timer is Off.

Great system Ken, great use of space. I have showed the war office that AP can look good, and she is all for it. She saw my last system and thought that the nice new house could do without the old bathtub with a couple of black tubs plonked on top of it.
You have inspired me to get off my ass and grab a shovel.
Keep up the good work mate

Glad to hear Wolfy, I'm into Design ( as you see ) and I've tried to create everything so that it all looks attractive to the eye, sometimes that doesn't mean extra Dollars if your adding to an existing Deck or area. I on the other half began with the un-used side of the house and of cause everything has cost me a little more because I had the time and bought mostly the Best in Materials so that in 10 years time everything is still looking as good as day one! ( I hope )

I only ever did 1 Water Test and that was before I began the Aquaponics. Never tested the water again as I've never felt I needed to when everything grows so well.
