well here it is..

i have been working on this for months... between RAIN, Rain and more rain at the start to now dry.... and the inconvience of work.... and a number of other things...

HERE IT IS!!!!!

i went for a gleaning day through the local industrial area and got more 44 drums than i needed...some wheel rims (ford ones cos they were throwaways  ) 2 beds...palllets etc

the drums were dug into the slope (24 degree slope to the south) and filled with water to keep them there.

pallets placed on top and 1/3 ibc and 160 lt bunnings containers and a bath as growbeds.

lots of plumbing bits from the demo yards and local (annoyed) hardware store.

countless hours of reading this forum and numerous questions asked..

and so here it is......

the system has been running with seasol and half the beds planted out for a couple of weeks.

the water had been collected and sat in the fish and sump tanks for over a month..

and today i did my first water tests...

the results are....

ph 8
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 5

so...
when would be a good time to introduce redclaw to the sump tank???
an how much longer would be advised before introducing silvers??

time to increase the emptys..... hehehe

I generally wouldn't recommend introducing Silvers until your water temp > 16... which it may well be up your way anyway... and larger then 80-100mm

Have you thought about Jade Perch.... you could get them through before winter ...

i was wondering if it was better to get the air stones as deep as i could into the fishtank... so i devised a little device...

of course.... it may not really be needed...

Gemmells standard bathtub warning: Watch for chips on the enamel and leeching of nickel into the water. Can give more info if you wish.

Otherwise looks like a good project. Dunno how your kids use the trampoline at such an angle though
