Hi Faye, I think they are mummies - adult aphids that have had parasitic wasps hatch out of them.

Cool, that is even better. I did actually get a photo of a little black dead thing with wings, the rest must have flown out the top of the bug catcher and been released into the wild. The entomology dept. is actually quite basic. But from little things big things grow.

I dunno how good it is, but ALDI has an electronic microscope with a 1.3MegaPixel camera for like $80. Was tempted to get it....

Also you can get a microscope that plugs directly into the usb port of the pooter i think from memory its about 400 magnification[ i have one somewhere but now i have cleaned up cant find it :oops: ]
