Looking good mate. Can't wait to see the fish all over the ground when the IBC gives way from UV damage  . See the recent warning by F&F re: IBC's. In all seriousness though, I'd keep a close eye on it as I'd hate to see the fish all over the place after it cracked or worse still a kid fall through the top if the plastic gave way.

Mon - as you stated - quick flood and then gravity slow drain (all up one cycle takes about an hour.

VB - I read that info about the IBCs (you always read this stuff after a purchase) and it got me thinking about making up a 'sock' to cover - much like a BBQ cover. What do you reckon...may also be handy for some insulation throughout winter.

Ell, looking forward to Friday and also a great excuse to get away early...need to work on my exit strategy - something about a special and most urgent delivery - thats all they need to know anyway.

Theres heaps of ways you could do it, you could wrap it in bubble wrap (pink or otherwise), shade cloth, whatever... or even go all out and knock together a timber enclosure for it.

EB, I like the brush screen idea...easy to attach to the cage and would look neat and tidy. I would think quite cost effective as well.

Well I must admit the oh sh*t factor kicked in a little with the arrival of fish this avo. Les and I may have paid for 50 Silver Perch but there seemed to be more like 60 odd. Hats off to Murray for organising the order. All of mine (30 odd) seem to be happy enough and a little while ago were schooling near the surface and darting around. I ended up giving them a little feed and they all seemed content. For the time been I have separated the 8 Spangled Perch into the glass aquarium as I am convinced they will massacre the Silvers if they get a chance.
