Okay, this is kind of funny BTW doing this inside my bed room, if you were one of my parents what would be going on in your head? All of a sudden randomly bringing home a blue barrel, and then afterwards a couple of bags of gravel. Hah.

And I think I called the wrong number for my local water supply information. The guy was wondering how I got the phone number... he didn't seem too happy after my 2nd call.

I always make sure to set up any indoor growing right in front of a window so people can easily see that what is growing there isn't illegal. So far no one has mistaken the lettuce for something else.

(lettuce doesn't grow well outdoors here for like 8 months out of the year because it is too darn hot.)

Ah well, at least this new hobby is keeping you off the streets, well until you need to sell your produce

Yep, that's the reason why I chose the tree, they grow fast.

Aquamad, do you have any idea how big the roots get? Is the root size relative to the maximum height the tree will be pruned at?

I've heard the roots can get quite large and they tend to have a tap root.

Of course most people don't grow these in containers so you are doing some experimenting. I've always transfered my Moringa to the ground before but I have one stray in a grow bed currently, I've probably left it too long to easily move it without damage to the roots.

Apparently they don't take water logging well so make sure your grow bed media drains fairly well and don't flood over the top of the media, make sure the top of the media stays quite dry.

to keep it small and busy, you will probably want to start pinching off the growing tips once the tree is a couple feet high. Then as the branches get a few good sets of leaves, pinch the growing tips again to make it even bushier since you don't have much height to work with.

I've been drying moringa leaves and the feeding them to the tilapia. They seem to be a little slow to take to them but are starting to catch on.
