Yeah Drew, I actually payed close to $70 + postage for the first bag I got, simply because no one else had any Trout food. Once Stirling Bulk got there stock in it was all good.

Done well OBO... that's a pallet rate... and a darn cheap postage rate...

Ridleys wont do less than a tonne at those prices... 2 pallets... + freight from QLD... no local office...

Might have to see what Skrettings will do for me... again though, no NSW agent that I know of...

Where?? Will need to get some feed shortly as I think my system is closed to be cycled.
How long can you store the food anyways?? Are they floating or sinking ones??

The food is good for over 6 months Ivan, I got it from Stirling Bulk Distributors, in Tenterden. Chuck that into google, brings them up.

Sinking pellets, but they dont reach the bottom.

Same place Nocky, Tenterden is just up the road from Mt Barker.
Floating peletts are always more expensive than the sinking ones.

Yes tenterdan gav, but I think they are an excellent price, we go through regularly so save on freight, the local seed merchant is looking into suppling next year, and hopefully will have barra pellets by summer.
Gav do you do Barra? I think you said not, but if no who (other than golden ponds) does, I know fremantle tafe maybe, but we would be looking at 300 - 400 at this stage

Im licenced for Barra but havent done any as yet. There was a guy in Donnybrook doing Barra but closed up recently. There is a place in Broomehill doing them but I would say price wise you couldnt beat Freo Tafe for getting fish.

No worries Gav will get onto Tony soon enough, the have heard of the Broomehill guy and I do get down there often so may pay him a visit, I believe they are grown in very salty dams and need a while to adapt to freshwater so maybe to much screwing around, seems funny as trout came from salty water and had no problems going str8 in, I thought Barra were hardier than trout

Hey guys,

Are the pellets for trout different from that for Barra? Just thinking that if the pellets only last six months, I may not be able to finish using the pellets hence might be able to feed them to the Barra... ??
