The last quater is a barren phase, and we should be eating fish, celebrating, getting pissed and harvesting only as we need. Food harvested now wont keep. We should also be getting ready for the new Moon.

C1's article seems to indicate that the last phase is the best time to harvest crops to store for a period of time without rotting or losing flavour.?? Although he did not say how long... could be til the end of the last phase, which is in two days time.

Happy to be corrected, I wrote that from memory... I'll look it up tomorrow at work, I have it printed out.

Unless C1 would like to grace us with his presence and correct me himself?

Interesting thing a friend told me last night, when the moon is full, it rises as the sun sets in the afternoon. Never thought about it before, but now I think about it, you never see a full moon during the day, and last night it was definately rising as the sun was setting.

Found this website recently. Not sure if you guys already know about it, but I think it's great.
Put in your suburb/postcode (top left), gives you weather details of your area, best of all, somewhere
in the middle, moon phase now and the coming moon phase...

Well that went down like a lead ballon

So a blue moon this month eh?

Plant root crops:
We have thunderstorms here ... prolly shouldn't be on here but so what
I guess you will be getting the rain from us in the next few days.

If you were going to plant seeds then it is a good time to plant root crops like carrots,
spuds, garlic, ginger, beetroot. 2-6th march (Depends on your location).
Full moon 1st March

Depends which definition of "blue moon" you mean C1... if you mean two full moons in a calendar month...

Then the full moon of 29th/30th of March... will be a blue moon...
