the wifey spent a week in Melbourne working, came home late Friday night with nasty flu symptoms. Sat morning full on Flu, spent the whole next week in bed couldn't move. I had to go to the Doc to get a cert for work for her. Only just yesterday was she statring to function prop  . Still had a nasty cough last nite. Didn't have a test but good chance it was swine. We shut her in the bedroom and myself and the kids kept away the whole time ( I was taking food into her and running out shutting the door behind me  ) No one else caught it. touch wood.

One of my daughters cross country team, whom we carpool with missed school today. She has it. When I dropped off my daughter today for school, she was fine. After her 4 mile run and warmup and cool down exercises this evening she looked like death warmed over. Tryed to get in an after hrs clinic and it was full of runny nosed sick children. Opted out we'll go to her regular doc tomorrow. Put an icy hot patch on the small of her back and she's out. Her eyes are even running. Sent my oldest daughter to her moms.

Rather ironically... here in Australia... the swine flu virus has mutated...

And cases of transmission from humans to pigs have been reported... true...

She just had a case of the crudd. She got swabbed and it wasn't flu at all, thank goodness. So many kids are out in her grade that when I called in to her school they told me to keep her home tomorrow also but she wouldn't hear of it, cause it means she can't run the meet Saturday. So she got a note from the doctor releasing her to go back to school  She looks a lot better today but definitely not 100%.

I had a terrible flu like that... I got tested, and it wasn't swine flu. I think it's a lot milder than that.
