So I have been thinking off adding a second single bed system.

After 2 phone calls to Faye this afternoon, I am stil not sure to go through with it....even though I know I should.

The reason for the second single bed system is to start growing out fingerlings to be transported to the main tank...Fish ..I think should be produced ongoingly....not all in one hit.

Then have that tank souley for quarentine and a purging tank later. Great Idea.....but where to put it and all.

I have been reading about all these people loosing fish to uneaten feed formenting on the bottom of the tank. I have 2 koi that are my clean up crew...and might suggest adding a few gold fish or younge koi to eleviate this from happening

I have added a few pics of them in there younger days last ....and their size now......they are cool...and worth $$$ too at that size

Have you got spare room inside for a tank. My glass tank stays at 20 degrees over winter without heating.

HSM  ....turned the pumps on and walked away...nothing unusual.

Looking at the system running from the balcony and noticed water dripping from the broccoli so went down to stop that from happening....

Then got to the sump and the damn thing had emptied all the water from the tank...the cords connection must of been only slightly bumped, so it isn't properly in the socket..and there goes 1500lt of water

I've heard that the biopods can become pretty rank... is this always the case... or just a matter of maintenance??

I think its both maintanece as well as what you put in it. But I think you should empty and clean it at least once a season. When its hot it reseeds fast and the chooks love what come out!
